Hello ... or I should say "Meow" ... my name is Truffles, and on January 8, 2004, I was a stray kitten, 12 weeks old, living in an animal shelter in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Then I won the lottery. I now live in a really nice place in Boca Raton with two big cats, Kickan and Temple, and one smaller cat (a lot bigger than me), named Mushroom. Until now, my life has been in a cage. This place is better. I have already learned to stretch out on a blanket in the bedroom to have my photo taken.

I have also seen some extraordinary things out the window in what Kickan and Temple call their courtyard. In the Swantail Palms that rustle in the sunlight, I have spotted an exciting flying thing ... I have never seen a flying thing before ... Kickan calls it a Cardinal. It tickles my whiskers when I look at it.

Also, out the back of my new home, near something called a canal, I have spotted a really BIG flying thing that Temple calls a Heron. It is just as interesting as the Cardinal, but I don't think I want to chase it. I don't want to get carried away, so-to-speak.

Anyway ... living here in Boca is a trip. Some of the toys have katnip in them. I think I am going to like it.
